Situated at the waterside of the IJ on the Westerdok in Amsterdam, Nevel is the place where land and water meet. This strong link to nature in the concept of Nevel can be recognized in everything; the location, the interior, the ingredients, the menu... Indulge in an ambiance where everyone feels comfortable. Whether it’s at the bar, in the private dining room, or the restaurant, whether you enjoy an extensive dinner or drinks with bites, everyone feels welcome at Nevel.
Nevel boasts a rough and artisan kitchen, using seasonal and crude products from land and sea. Whenever possible, products are homemade, whether its piccalilly’s, chutneys, terrines or pickled green. The carefully selected and continuously changing 3 to 7 course chefs menu plays a leading role in the concept of Nevel. At Nevel guests have to trust chef Ricardo and his team and can expect to be surprised by Ricardo’s love for cooking and respect for all of the ingredients used. For those who like to be in control, Nevel serves beautiful, rough, but refined ‘à la carte dishes’ like smoked sardines, rillettes of wild goose or plaice with chestnut. On a lazy Sunday afternoon you can finish your weekend with an ‘old school’ Sunday Roast.
